Self Studio was born from a story that began long before its name existed - on a couch in a small town in Türkiye, where I watched my mother crochet for hours.

She often wished she had become “something real,” but even as a child, I knew her craft was something real - a quiet form of creation and care.

Back then, I would sit behind her, watching every stitch, wondering what would take shape next - a curiosity I’ve never lost.

Years later, after moving to Los Angeles and starting over from zero, I found myself crocheting again. What began as a way to feel at home slowly grew into a purpose: to give materials, memories, and ideas a second life.
